The FCC is a not-for-distributed-profit company that was founded in 1999 and is the only Co-operative currently operating in the Foster Care Sector in the UK.

We provide a range of excellent foster home placements for children and young people referred to us by Local Authorities. Foster Carers are supported by qualified and registered social workers and we offer a full quality support service to our carers.

The head office is in Malvern, Worcestershire but we are active in a number of regions around the country - East Anglia (Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and South Lincolnshire), South Yorkshire and North Lincs, Wirral and Merseyside, Staffordshire, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Birmingham and Worcestershire. We are looking towards further growth nationally so that eventually all regions will be covered.

We also have a National Office in Cardiff and a number of foster carers througout Wales.

There are many children in the UK who do not receive the level of care they require and find themselves looked after by the Local Authority. The FCC recruits, assess, trains and approves foster carers who are then supported by our Social Workers. We aim, if possible, to bring new people into fostering - people from all walks of life, married and partnered couples or single people.

Carers will need patience and commitment, a spare room and, above all, a real desire to make a difference to a child's live.
