Alexandra Groves the Founder of the organization has lived on the Three Estate,in Kings Norton for over 11 years. She has qualified in diploma in counselling and achieved a degree in criminal justice and psychology, Academic experience in forensic psychology. researched the Three Estate of which are Pool Farm, primrose, Hawksley. These estates endures poverty and deprivation, Such disadvantage are wide spread throughout the three estate.

A-Wayforward Foundation is a counselling and mentoring service that offers counselling and mentoring support to the Kings Norton and surrounding areas of Birmingham. Our focus is to provide a cost effective, quality care. The Mission: to promote the wellbeing of individual (s) and families in Kings Norton and the surrounding areas, by providing a accessible, quality mental health care for children, adolescent, adults and their families.


The FOUNDATION will achieve it's aims principally by providing a counselling and mentoring service to communities in and around Birmingham.

(a) To reduced the isolation and dependency of people with mental health issues and concerns.

(b) To reduced dependency on public services i.e. health used by people with mental health issues and concerns.

(c) To increase the self esteem and confidence of people with mental health

(d) To increase the quality of life of people with mental health concerns

(e) To reduced the amount of re offending being committed in the community

(f) To work with the police and prison service to offer counselling and mentoring to current ex-offenders

(g) To provide outdoor activities that will build confidence, motivation and team building

(h) To offer mentoring to children and young people providing emotional guidance, a sense of continuity and stability

(i) To provide a programme of support for perpetrators of domestic violence and abuse liaising with national offenders management service

(j) To work with other support and counselling services related to domestic violence and abuse.
