The building, built in 2009, combines both a Sports Club with lounge bar and snooker room with a total floor area of 210m2 and a Village Hall with stage area as well as two meeting rooms which with corridor space and toilets occupies a floor area of 360m2.
Situated on the playing fields, purchased by the village in 1949, the Village Hall is the meeting place for many local groups, including the Cookley Amateur Dramatic Society, the Over 60s club, Baby massage, Yoga, as well as Cookley Sports Football Club, Cookley Cricket Club and Cookley Bowls Club.
The village hall is also available for fundraising events or private functions - it is approximately 15.5 x10 metres with adjoining ante-room and kitchen. The latter is well equipped with an electric oven, fridge, crockery and cutlery. The hall has its own fully equipped bar and seated area with a separate access via hatch to a kitchen to serve refreshments.
