Description

We provide free information & services at our drop-in centre, by telephone, mail and email. Our small, part-time team of staff and volunteers now handle over 150 enquiry types and we have high volumes of longer-term case-loading – service users who need our help for longer periods. We offer specialist information & advice for general & disability benefits applications, taxation and financial enquiries.
Our drop-in centre is open from Mondays – Thursdays in Bromyard, and home visits can be offered on request for adults unable to access the drop-in centre. We run a range of programmes which currently include:
Housebound (a home visiting scheme), Footcare, Rural Care – Rural Choice (self-directed support) and Moneywise. We work with adults aged 50+ living in Bromyard and its surrounding 32 villages/hamlets in North East Herefordshire. Our drop-in centre houses a small jigsaw library for which donations of complete jigsaws are always welcome.
Outside our opening hours, enquiries are handled by the Herefordshire Gateway which is based at Age Concern Leominster & District.
