Description

We provide free information & services which include specialist help for welfare benefits applications. Our drop-in centre is open each morning daily in Bromyard, and home visits can be offered on request for adults with additional needs. We signpost for the Community Legal Services. Our projects include: a pilot art therapy programme (ending November 2007 but continuing as The Thursday Club under volunteer management); a handyperson scheme, funded by the Big Lottery to May 2008; a nail cutting scheme, funded by the Primary Care Trust and on GP referral; a Contact Point telephone befriending service for vulnerable, isolated adults. We work with adults aged 50+ in Bromyard, and 32 villages/hamlets in North East Herefordshire. Our drop-in centre houses a small jigsaw library, paperwork book and audio loans, which are available free of charge.
