Description

ASPIE, is a newly registered charity dedicated to supporting adults with AspergerÂ’s Syndrome by providing an environment that improves communication and social skills and builds a network of support for friendship, education, training, employment and independent living.

We meet at 26 Sansome Walk, Worcester WR1 1LX on Wednesdays 1pm to 9 pm.

Foregate Train Station, bus routes and carparks are nearby.

We are pleased to welcome new members and provide a low pressure environment to relax, socialise, play games, access the internet, or just 'be' without having to 'pretend to be normal'.

We are fortunate in having an excellent Australian psychologist who is able to encourage lively discussions, draw out members, or help them address their issues on a one-to-one basis.

Parents/friends/supporters and health professionals are also welcome.

Since we started last September we've noticed a marked improvement in the confidence and general happiness of our members, evidenced by some returning to education, vocational courses or job searches and also the amount of laughter in the building.

Please comealong alone, or with a parent/friend accompanying you (or making a recce). Join us and tell us what sort of centre you would like to be a member of.

This group, set up by an ASPIE is for Aspies by ASpies so please feel free to give your input. We look forward to seeing you.
