Description

Dial a ride is a transport service for physically disabled and elderly frail people. Any age with a disability can use our specially adapted fleet of minibuses to go on a range of journeys including health/hospital, social visits, hairdressing etc. Sheppard House is a day centre for the same group of people. It is open Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm. Coffee and biscuits, a two course meal and tea and cake are provided everyday. Trained carers are on hand to assist the less able and a variety of activities take place each day, including arts and crafts, bingo, quizzes, entertainment of a wide variety, gentle exercise, IT sessions etc.
